Meenakshi Temple Madurai this temple is epitome of beauty and ultimate spirituality. Madurai is more than 4000 years old, and is the centre of Tamil culture. The Meenakshi temple is as old as the city and was built by the Nayak rulers, who also built many other beautiful temples. The city hosts famous 12 day Chithirai Festival, which also includes an act of wedding of Gods and Goddesses.

The Brihadeeshwara temple in Thanjavur the city of Tiruchirappalli is located on the banks of the river Kaveri, and has been the most desired object in historical times.
