Meenakshi Temple Madurai – this temple is epitome of beauty and ultimate spirituality. Madurai is more than 4000 years old, and is the centre of Tamil culture. The Meenakshi temple is as old as the city and was built by the Nayak rulers, who also built many other beautiful temples. The city hosts famous 12 day Chithirai Festival, which also includes an act of wedding of Gods and Goddesses.
The Brihadeeshwara temple in Thanjavur – the city of Tiruchirappalli is located on the banks of the river Kaveri, and has been the most desired object in historical times. The temple is built on a rock fort and sports a panoramic view. Apart from the main temple there are Vinayak and the Lord Shiva temple as well.
Ramweshwaram – is the most important temple in India and one of the Char Dhams. The temple is located on a bridge and lays the tip of the peninsula. The temple contains exquisite carvings and has the longest hallway in India.
The Tirupati Balaji temple – the temple located in Andhra Pradesh is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara, and is the richest temple in India. Situated on the Eastern Ghats, on the Venkata hills, the temple sports an exotic Gold dome.
